Low Carbon Hops
Low Carbon Hops are a completely new type of hop product, developed to help brewers create delicious beers that are packed with flavour and aroma, but with a fraction of the carbon footprint.
They naturally contain a higher level of moisture than kiln-dried hops so weigh heavier and will not dissolve like a T90 pellet. The weight difference vs kiln-dried hops means brewers may need to add more Low Carbon Hops to achieve the equivalent alpha acidity levels.
Lab tests indicate that the individual hop aroma and flavour profiles are unaffected by the new preservation process, although usage rates may vary depending on the desired hopping level.
